Butas Vilniaus senamiestyje
Butas Vilniaus senamiestyje, rekonstruotame istoriniame name Strazdelio g. 1.
A. Strazdelio, Šv. Dvasios, ir M. Daukšos gatvių tinklas formavosi dar nuo XVII amžiaus. Strazdelio g. 1 pastatas įtrauktas į UNESCO saugomų objektų sąrašą. Jo sienas supa istorinė – sakraline aplinka – Šv. Dvasios vienuolynas, Vilniaus gynybinė siena – Artilerijos bastėja, Šv. Jėzaus Širdies bažnyčios kupolai, Aušros vartai ir atkuriamas Misionierių parkas.
Autentiškų vidaus detalių, išskyrus perimetro sienas bute išlikę nebuvo, todėl nenorėdami tiesmukai kopijuoti istorinio laikmečio ar jam būdingų detalių, pasirinkome laikmečių improvizacijos kelią. Bendroje siužeto visumoje, drąsiai derindami šiuolaikiškas medžiagas, baldus ar šviestuvus, ieškojome netikėtų sprendinių, tačiau aiškiai atiduodami pirmumo teisę istoriškai suformuotai buto erdvei ir istoriniam vaizdui už lango. Spalvinėje gamoje bei detalėse ieškota savito, netradicinio interjero meninės išraiškos varianto – nesvetimo esamai istorinei aplinkai, bet jos neimituojančiai.

Apartment is located in Vilnius Old Town, in a reconstructed historic building in Strazdelis st. 1.
The street network of A. Strazdelis, Šv. Dvasios, and M. Daukšos has been in place since the 17th century. The building in Strazdelis st. 1 is listed in the UNESCO World Heritage Site. It’s walls are surrounded by a historical and sacred environment – the Monastery of the Holy Spirit, the Vilnius defensive wall - the Artillery Bastion, the St. The Artillery Bastion, the domes of the Church of the Heart of Jesus, the Gate of Dawn, and the restored Missionary Park.
No authentic interior details were preserved in the apartment, except for the perimeter walls of the apartment at the beginning of the project. The aim was a wish not to copy the historical period or its characteristic details directly but to improvise. We have looked for unexpected solutions by boldly combining contemporary materials, furniture or light fittings but giving the priority to the historically shaped space of the apartment and the historical view outside the window. We have looked for a distinctive, unconventional variant of artistic expression of the interior in the colour palette and details, that is not alien to the existing historical environment, but does not imitate it.
