Svarbiausias aspektas, kurio siekėme projektuodami šį namą, buvo balansas tarp privatumo ir atviro santykio su aplinka. Būdami tokioje įspūdingoje vietoje kaip ši, norisi ją visą patirti – mišką, upę, šlaitus – esminius vietos komponentus. Tačiau tuo pačiu svarbu turėti aiškias asmeninės erdvės ribas – tam tikrus kraštus, kurie kurtų saugumo jausmą. Sklendžiantis lenktas stogas, atsirėmęs į stabilias horizontalias plokštumas ir tūrius, ir formuoja tas intymias erdves plane. Dviejų atspalvių medžio švelnumas kontrastuoja su skaidriomis stiklo plokštumomis ir plytų grubumu. Visa likusi natūralių medžiagų paletė – akmuo, oda, vilna, plienas, varis - erdvė pilna šiltų, žemiškų, pastelinių atspalvių. Kaip gamtoje greta akmens auga samanos, taip ir interjere – medis šalia stiklo, kailis prie plieno. Tokios paralelės suteikia erdvei gyvybės, o spalvinė gama išlieka gana niuansuota.

The key aspect we aimed for when designing this house was finding a balance between privacy and an open relationship with the surrounding environment. Being in such an impressive location, there's a natural desire to fully experience it – the forest, the river, the slopes – the essential components of the site. At the same time, it's important to establish clear boundaries of personal space – defined edges that create a sense of security. The sweeping curved roof, resting on stable horizontal planes and volumes, helps to shape these intimate spaces within the layout. The softness of two-toned wood contrasts with the transparency of glass surfaces and the roughness of brick. The rest of the natural material palette – stone, leather, wool, steel, copper – fills the space with warm, earthy, pastel tones. Just as moss grows next to stone in nature, in the interior we pair wood with glass, fur with steel. These kinds of parallels bring life to the space, even when the color palette remains quite nuanced.
